Raquette Lake Library has Serpents Underfoot …

Have you been to the Raquette Lake Library? Growing up my summers were spent at Raquette Lake. First tenting at Golden Beach Campsite, then tenting on the lot my family bought near Burktown, and later at the camp we built on that lot. There was boating, fishing, waterskiing, hiking … and trips to Raquette Lake village, often by boat, to buy supplies, do laundry, and sometimes visit the library.

There were also trips to Inlet and Old Forge to shop or go to the movies, as well as the occasional trip to Lake George to enjoy parks like Story Town, Gas Light Village, and Fort William Henry. There was also Potters Family Restaurant! It was a wonderful time in my life.
