Tunes For Tuesday: A Day in the Windy City …

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. They were originally called Chicago Transit Authority, shortening their name in 1969. No light shows, no costumes, no stage backdrops, just pure talent!

25 or 6 to 4 (Tanglewood, 1970)

Chicago has sold over 40 million records in the US with 23 gold, 18 platinum, and 8 multi-platinum albums. The group’s first album, Chicago Transit Authority, released in 1969, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014.Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and will receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.

Just You ‘n’ Me (1979

I had several Chicago albums as a teenager, much to the amusement of some of my friends. Yes, I love rock and roll. Hard rock, classic rock, metal, and yes, soft rock. There is a whole wide world of Rock music out there. Chicago is one of the best.

Will You Still Love Me?

Chicago is another one of those bands that it is better to not write a lot of words about in a post. You should just let the music speak for itself. So, that is what I will do here

Colour my World / Make Me Smile (Tanglewood, 1970)

If You Leave Me Now (1977)

It just can’t get too much better than that!

  1. One of my favorite bands. Their horn section added so much to their music and the songs and lyrics are some of the best. The remain great songs even with the passage of time. Great post!
