No Ordinary Dog is the powerful true story of a SEAL Team Operator and military dog handler, and the dog that saved his life.

Two dozen Navy SEALs descended on Osama bin Laden’s compound in May 2011. After the mission, only one name was made public: Cairo, a Belgian Malinois and military working dog. This is Cairo’s story, and that of his handler, Will Chesney, a SEAL Team Operator whose life would be irrevocably tied to Cairo’s.

Starting in 2008, when Will was introduced to the SEAL canine program, he and Cairo worked side by side, depending on each other for survival on hundreds of critical operations in the war on terrorism. But their bond transcended their service. Then, in 2011, the call came: Pick up your dog and get back to Virginia. Now.

What followed were several weeks of training for a secret mission. It soon became clear that this was no ordinary operation. Cairo was among the first members of the U.S. military on the ground in Pakistan as part of Operation Neptune Spear, which resulted in the successful elimination of bin Laden.

As Cairo settled into a role as a reliable “spare dog,” Will went back to his job as a DEVGRU operator until a grenade blast in 2013 left him with a brain injury and PTSD. Unable to participate in further missions, he suffered from crippling migraines, chronic pain, memory issues, and depression. Modern medicine provided only modest relief. Instead, it was up to Cairo to save Will’s life once more―and then up to Will to be there when Cairo needed him the most.

This book is absolutely outstanding!

No Ordinary Dog by Will Chesney and Joe Layden is a fantastic story told (and read … I listened to the Audible book) by Will himself. The book is written as a tribute to his K9 partner, Cairo. It details the story of Chesney’s service with the US Navy SEALs, his decision to become a K9 handler, and the incredible bond and partnership that developed between these two SEAL warriors.

I am a dog lover, are you?

If you are a dog lover, this book is a MUST READ! It is simply an incredible story of loyalty, courage, sacrifice, commitment, and love. It is a moving tribute to a fantastic dog, a loyal partner, and a best friend. We are truly blessed that Will Chesney chose to share his story with us! It is a book I guarantee you will not want to put down!

The introduction is one of the best I have ever read and brought a tear to my eye. The book just gets better from there. The descriptions of training, missions, and the time Chesney and Cairo spent together have you right there living in the moment. At the same time, the stories of missions are well-done and informative, but not graphic or in danger of giving away any military secrets.

No spoilers, but the part of the story where the author is recovering from a severe injury, and Cairo comes to his rescue, was incredibly moving. Later, when Cairo is in real need, Chesney returns the favor. If you are not at least brought to the verge of tears, you are not human.

I absolutely recommend this book and give it 5 stars, only because that’s where the scale stops. This incredible story is off the scale. You can check the book out on Amazon by clicking here!

Extortion 17:  I think it is time true Americans stand and be counted.  It is truly no longer a time to “accept the things we cannot change.”  It is time to change the things we cannot accept.

Want some truth?

Seal Team 6, America’s most elite special operations team, was sent to their slaughter in the most obscenely mismanaged military failure in recent Naval history.  93 days after Seal Team 6 got Osama Bin Laden (we should not even know this) they were stupidly sent to their death in what was probably an Al Qaeda planned ambush.  Joe Biden put the targets on their backs, Obama‘s “Rules of Engagement” let it happen.  They were sent into a landing zone in the middle of 3 hour long battle, in a slow moving 28-year-old CH-47D Chinook because our military does not have enough MH-47s … and with no pre-landing suppressive fire (those troublesome rules of engagement again).

Want some more truth?

In the 11 years we have been waging war in Afghanistan, 79% of those killed or wounded have been under Obama’s leadership.  During the 8 years of the Bush administration, 2072 American soldiers came home wounded from Iraq/Afghanistan.  In only the last 3 years under Obama, 14,977 American soldiers have come home wounded.  Obama increases the number of American soldiers being wounded in action almost as fast as he increases our debt!

Who would you rather have in charge if your son or daughter was serving in our military?  I served in the military.  American sons and daughters volunteer to fight to defend  the country they love; not to be sent in to be sacrificed or slaughtered because of some radical leftist president’s ideological love-fest with radical Muslims.

Did you ever stop to wonder what Obama and Clinton were trying so hard to cover up in Benghazi?  (I mean, besides their sheer incompetence)  Maybe … missiles to Syria?  Just asking …

Who Totes The Note?

Americans should be furious!  Have we truly lost our minds?  I understand there will always be some Obama-zombies who drank entirely way too much cool-aid and believe Obama is the new Messiah … but what about the rest of us?   Are we really going to sit back in voter apathy, or squabble over the perfect candidate to beat Obama and then simply not vote if our “personal choice” does not happen to win the Republican National Convention?  That is precisely how Obama could win re-election … in fact, that is what he is counting on!! 

Let’s look at a few things:

  • Congress has a 9% approval rating.  64% of Americans rate congress as the least professional and ethical  profession in the U.S.  Pin heads keep talking about how we need to elect experienced representatives to Congress.  Well, if their experience is in amassing trillions of dollars in debt, not passing budgets, partisan brinksmanship, ignoring the will of the people, and voting themselves endless pay raises … fire the bums!   We need Statesman and businessmen … not business-as-usual politicians!
  • Congress has not passed a budget in three years!  They simply rely on “continuing resolutions,” which amounts to living paycheck-to-paycheck as a nation.  When we run out of money … they borrow more.  When China won’t loan us any more, they simple print more!  It does not take an economics degree from Harvard to understand that this is sheer lunacy!  How do you cut money from a budget that does not exist? A balanced-budget amendment is not enough.  That simply means that the “incoming” must equal the “out going.”  There are two ways to do that: 1) Cut spending, or 2) raise taxes.  But with spending out of control … Congress simply cannot raise taxes enough to cover their insane spending spree!   A $15 trillion current debt, a $2 trillion a year shortfall, and an estimated national debt of $30 trillion by 2030 tells us we have to seriously cut spending. 
  • Entitlements have to be looked at as well.  We have created a generation of narcissistic, entitlement-minded  sheeple who expect great jobs where the don’t have to actually work, have plenty of leisure time, and make great money … or if not, the government gives them everything.  That is not the American way.  Americans work hard, sweat, take risks, create, invent, and succeed by the fruits of their own labors … and sometimes they fail!  But they can always try again.  It is the land of equal opportunity, not equal result!  Why do some folks think that they have the right to take from people who work harder than they do? Or that it is the government’s job to provide everyone with a $100,000 per year life-style whether they work or not?
  • We cannot cut defense spending to the point of national weakness!  Obama has weakened us enough with his apologies and inept, bumbling lack of foreign policy.  Iran is six months from nuclear weapons.  North Korea is selling nuclear technology to Iran. Iran is planning war games to practice shutting down the Strait of Hormuz! They also shot down and captured one of our top-secret drones and all Obama can do is ask for it back “pretty, pretty please!”  I don’t think Achmed is very afraid of Obama!!  Ohl!  Wait … Obama says he got Osama Bin Laden ….  so he is a bad-ass President!  However, all he did was give the go-ahead.  Actually, the CIA and the Navy SEALS got Bin Laden with intel gathered by the intelligence machine created under Bush (which by the way, Obama wanted to shut down and Eric Holder wanted to prosecute).
  • Speaking of Eric Holder (our esteemed Attorney General)!  I think “Fast and Furious” was a plan to help the Anti-gun groups in this country make a case for stronger gun control, but it backfired on them.  Total incompetence because Obama hires based on ideology … not qualifications!!  And now American border patrol agents are dead, and 2000 weapons are in the hands of Mexican border criminals.  An American border agent armed with a freaking “bean-bag” gun is gunned down by a Mexican border criminal with a fully automatic weapon!   And  … Holder knows nothing?  Obama knows nothing?  Ahhh!  but … they know enough to prosecute governors, states, and Sheriffs who try to do what they can to protect their border-state citizens!
  • Barney Frank and Chris Dodd should be in prison!  Using Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, Congress forced banks to make crazy mortgage loans to people who could in no way afford them …. simply to buy democratic votes.  Then when these people, predictably,  could not pay their mortgages, Congress demonized the banks … and useful-idiots  like the “occupy Wall street” crowd fall into lock-step and protest the wrong people … taking the scrutiny away from where it should be … on Congress!  It should be “occupy Washington!”  Do you now why Obama, Pelosi, and Reid embraced the “Occupy Wall street” movement … because as long as they were occupying wall street, they weren’t looking where the should be looking … at an incompetent President and his liberal Congress!
  • People who pay no income taxes are mad at people who pay 75% of federal income taxes for not paying “their fair share!”  An oil pipeline that could create millions of jobs and give America a safe oil supply is shelved so Obama can punish states for rejecting Obama care!  Obama, Pelosi,and Reid spew vitriolic nonsense about Conservatives wanting autistic children to die of downs syndrome, little old grannies to be sent to forced-labor camps to die while performing slave labor stamping out Republican bumper stickers, and that conservatives like to drink toxic water while inhaling smog … and the Obama-zombies listen and believe!  Class-warfare at its finest.  Saul Alinski would be so proud!  The question is … are American voters really going to fall for this nonsense?

Obama’s Report Card:  F-

And who totes the not for this insane foolishness?  … the American tax payer!  How much longer are we going to put up with this!

Chicago Tribune Tells Obama: Do Not Run!

I rarely find myself agreeing with left-wing democrats, but sometimes the opportunity presents itself … even if idea is approached from different perspectives.  The “Anointed One” received a message on Monday from Steve Chapman, a veteran columnist for the Chicago Tribune, in an OP/ED piece saying, “please don’t run for re-election.”

And … this is the same Chicago hometown newspaper that endorsed Obama when he descended from on high to bring us all “hope and change”  in 2008.  Can you say … “oops!?”

Now, I understand that Steve Chapman wants Hillary to run! It is the progressive-liberal’s (i.e. communists who have bought out the democratic party) only chance to keep power.  Chapman wrote, “Her husband presided over a boom, she’s been busy deposing dictators instead of destroying jobs, and she’s never been accused of being a pushover.” 

Well, some of that is sort of true I guess . Bill Clinton did preside over a booming economy …  created for him by President Reagan‘s policies.   But, I am not sure which dictators Hillary actually deposed.  that would be a lot for a Secretary of State to pull off.  Anyway, Obama single-handedly took out Osama Bin Laden and Muammar Gaddafi … just ask him … he’ll tell you.

I guess there is no chance of getting Steve Chapman to support Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, or Rick Perry!  Too bad … that is more like what this country needs now!

I do wish that Obama would gracefully bow out and not run for re-election.  Or … he could just quit.  Personally, I think he should be impeached for treason; because I believe he has actively worked toward the destruction of this country so he could re-create it in his  version of an Obama lead “benevolent” dictatorship.  It is the only thing that makes sense when you really look at the steps he has taken:

  • Increased government intrusion into private sector.
  • Created his “Czarist” shadow government.
  • Imposed Obamacare on Americans even though the greatest majority of Americans opposed it.
  • Tried to impose “Cap and Tax” by imperial decree.
  • Instituted several “eSnitch” programs encouraging citizens to spy on each other for him.
  • Tax the private sector into submission.
  • Created massive new governmental regulation by “executive order” costing Americans billions annually.
  • Destroyed American jobs while supporting job growth in Brazil and Canada.
  • Consistently ignored the U.S. Constitution and actively supported suppressing individual rights.
  • Appointed administrative officials that are totally unqualified for their jobs based on their left-wing ideology.
  • Apologized to the “radical” world for America’s greatness.

He has done way more than enough damage to our country’s economy, destroyed the job market, irresponsibly increased the national debt, destroyed our country’s morale, and lowered our international standing. Obama does not believe America is exceptional.  He does not believe in private property.  He does not believe in limited-government. He does not believe in individual rights.  He is, perhaps, American by accident of birth; but he is not American in his heart!

In no way should this be construed as an endorsement for Hillary Clinton.  Talk about a lessor of two evils!!  She would do only slightly less damage than that which Obama has wrought on our great nation.  But then, even Dick Cheney said Hillary would, at least, be better than Obama!
