As usual, your comment plays on the emotions and fears of the uninformed, but has little in the way of fact and reality.  You paint the picture of “Ron Paul conservatives” cruelly turning people away from urgently needed medical care.  Oh …. those cold-hearted conservative bastards!  They make Scrooge look like Mother Teresa! Did you know conservatives eat their young!   Barak Obama, the Messiah … the Holy One …  will save us all from the evil, fascist, chauvinistic, racist, hate-mongering conservatives!

Don’t like spending nearly a trillion bucks on stimulus?  You’re a racist!   Don’t like ObamaCare?  You’re a racist!

Why is it when liberals rant … it is “free speech,” but when conservatives rant, it is “hate speech?”  Need some examples?  Maybe I can find a few …. it isn’t very hard …

Margaret Carlson of Bloomberg News comparing the Tea Party caucus in Congress to terrorists:  “I mean, they’ve strapped explosives to the Capitol and they think they are immune from it.”

Former Rep. Paul Kanjorski (Dem): “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to put him against a wall and shoot him.”

Barack Obama, 2008 and 2010: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” & “We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends…”

New York Times Columnist  Paul Krugman: “A message to progressives: By all means, hang Senator Joe Lieberman in effigy.”

Talk show host Montel Williams, directed at Rep. Michele Bachmann: “Michele, slit your wrist. Go ahead… or, do us all a better thing [sic]… start at the collarbone.”

Senator Harry Reid, 2008:  Barack Obama is a “light-skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Reverend Jesse Jackson:  “All Hymie wants to talk about is Israel; every time you go to Hymietown, that’s all they want to talk about.”

DNC Charmian Howard Dean:  “You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room?  Only if they had the hotel staff in here.”

The Washington Post’s Richard Cohen and CNN:  “How much time do we have left to talk about how stupid Sarah Palin is?”

Foul-mouthed comedian Sandra Bernhard warning Sarah Palin she would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she tried coming to New York.

Do you remember when Washington Post columnist Courtland Milloy said: “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health care reform.  I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their ‘Obama Plan White Slavery’ signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.”

Remember when Liberal talk radio host Mike Malloy said: “Drudge? Aw, Drudge, somebody ought to wrap a strong Republican entrail around his neck and hoist him up about 6 feet in the air and watch him bounce.”

And of course, we all know about Bill Maher ….

Remember when “stupid” Sarah Palin made Rahm Emanuel’s expletive-enhanced use of the word “retarded” an embarrassment for him and the the Anointed One?  She forced the left to live up to its own P.C. standards. Saul Alinsky would have been proud.

But I digress ….

There will still be millions of un-insured under Obamacare.  The cost for Obamacare has already been revised by the CBO from the original estimate of approx. $900 Billion to $1.8 Trillion … and it will continue to grow. The programs you mention; Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are, themselves, on the verge of collapse; therefore taxes will skyrocket to subsidise them and yet another massive, unsustainable entitlement bureaucratic-nightmare called Obamacare.

Doctors are fleeing the medical field or making decisions to not accept government-based healthcare plans because reimbursement levels are already too low and shrinking.  (I know this because I have several friends who are doctors … and no they are not greedy monsters.  They are normal folks, whose business costs are skyrocketing because of massive paperwork involved with regulatory compliance forced on them by Obamacare).

Enrollment in medical school is down because not too many students can afford to take on such massive debt in the form of the student loans required to complete a medical degree program … for the dwindling return on their investment. Doctor’s work very hard for their degrees (typically for at least 7 years) and incur a great deal of debt achieving it.  To begrudge them a higher salary than folks who, say,  decided to flip hamburgers for a living or just go on the public dole …  is pretty short-sighted and very small-minded!

Tell me  … do you begrudge George Soros, Warren Buffett,  AL Gore, John Kerry, or George Clooney their massive incomes?

And yes … even those dastardly, despicable, racist, hate-mongering, tea bagging, slutty, conservatives (who hate autistic children, the mentally challenged, and who want old people to die starving in the streets) want American citizens to have access to affordable, transportable, quality health insurance.  The problem is that Obamacare will not provide that.  It will only bankrupt the country.

I am not a big fan of Ron Paul.  I don’t believe Ron Paul is actually a true conservative.  I like some of his domestic positions, but he is not truly a Constitutionalist.  If you go back to Ron Paul’s early years and his influences, they include a list of folks who detested conservatives and the U.S. Constitution.  Ron Paul mostly uses the U.S. Constitution as a hammer to bash all other candidates on the head.  His foreign policy is to the left of even Barack Obama’s and I feel would be disastrous for this country and the rest of the world.  Isolationist-based  policies have indirectly caused several wars including World War I, World War II, and The Vietnam Conflict.   His roots are, perhaps, slightly less scary than Barack Obama’s;  while Obama is a Saul Alinsky “inspired” socialist, Ron Paul is essentially a Murry Rothbard inspired free-market anarchist.

Obama strikes again … positioning himself as the proud defender of the American middle class

“Either we ask the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share in taxes or we’re going to have to ask seniors to pay more for Medicare. We can’t afford to do both. This is not class warfare, its math,” Obama stated to a cheering audience of cool aid drinking Obama-zombies.

“If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a teacher makes me a warrior for the middle class, I wear it as a badge of honor,” Obama proudly exclaimed!

Just the kind of words you would expect to send a shiver up the legs of eat-the-rich progressive-liberals who can’t wait to line up for their “free Obama money!” Sounds to me like he is working up to admitting he is a socialist.  Maybe that will be in next week’s speech.

If what Obama is doing is not waging class warfare on higher earning Americans to win the votes of lazy socialist-minded welfare recipients, and if it is indeed just “math;” it is the fuzziest math I have ever seen.  In fact … it is an outright lie. But then, Obama has never been one to let the truth get in the way of a good story!

Obama is basically saying that instead of having a spending problem, America has a revenue problem. This could not be further from the truth.  The Obama administration’s spending frenzy is unsustainable.  In fact, do you remember when Obama stated that the current deficit spending is “unsustainable.”

“We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said in May of 2009 at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.”

I guess the wind must have changed, because now Obama, master of the “blame-everyone-but-me”  game, is now trying to blame the “wealthiest Americans” for America’s economic woes.  Of course, this is exactly what SEIU, ACORN, and Vote smart-minded  people hear! It is definitely class warfare and one of Obama’s re-election strategies it to divide, create mode discord, and conquer. The truth is, however, it is simply re-election campaign rhetoric, it is dishonest, and it is definitely un-presidential.

It is time for Americans to stand up and demand to know what he means by “pay their fair share.”  Obama keeps using the phrase “millionaires and billionaires” in his campaign speeches.  This is part of his fuzzy new math … that defines anyone who earns $200,000 and more as a “millionaire and billionaire.” How does earning $200,000 equate to being a millionaire?  The NEA and local teacher’s unions (strong Obama supporters all) have been trying to teach this “math” in our public schools for years

How does Obama define “fair share.” Real math shows that “wealthiest Americans” pay the majority of federal income taxes, while the only group not paying its “fair share” is the 47 percent of wage earners in this country who pay no federal income tax at all.  Again … sounds like class warfare to me!

There is nothing stopping Obama’s good friend, Warren Buffet from paying more taxes. Obama said in hs jobs speech that Warren Buffet told him that he felt he should pay more taxes because he is wealthy and can afford to.  Why then is Mr. Buffet fighting against paying $1 billion in the back taxes he owes.  He should happily pay that and more!

Obama assumes that, we fly over Americans (because we do not live in New England or California), are too stupid to do the math.  Obama tells us that if we just raise the taxes on “wealthy Americans,” the deficit problem will go away.  This is simply not true and another example of Obama’s fuzzy math.  Several independent researchers have done real number crunching (you know, the kind of math schools taught before our public schools became progressive-liberal “brainwashing programs”  and the NEA began to re-write American history and develop curriculums based on political correctness).

The truth is that  if the government actually confiscated 100 % of all income over $200,000 per year, the federal government would gain about $221 billion!  So …  if Obama were to actually be honest with his voters … this “revenue enhancement” would not even cover the $714 billion he spent on anti-poverty programs last year; never mind cover Obama’s increased spending for his American Jobs Act!

What Obama is really trying to do is to frame the 2012 election around race.  If he can convince enough black and hispanic voters who are now upset with his performance that the Tea Party is racist, then he may have a chance at being re-elected in 2012.   This is what Obama is secretly and desperately trying to do … and he has help from people I never would he suspected.

Morgan  Freeman, a man I once respected as a man and an actor (I loved his roles in Invictus and Million Dollar Baby … among others) accused the Tea party of being racist in an interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight saying,

“Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What underlines that? ‘Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we can to get this black man outta here.”

No Mr. Freeman.  You are dead wrong.  It is not that “We’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.” Are there racists in this country?  Of course there are!  On both sides.  I would argue that anyone who wants to keep Obama in office just because he is black, and ignores the fact his is destroying our country … is a racist!  But that is not what this is about!

It is the fact that Obama (whether he is black, white, bi-racial, or pink with purple polka dots) is destroying this country!  His Soros-orchestrated policies are leading American down the same failed path that has already destroyed most of western culture … the path to big government with its sluggish bureaucratic centralized control, out-of-control spending, and unsustainable social welfare programs; that (while popular with 3rd and 4th generation welfare recipients and those with socialist or communist leanings) will lead this country to bankruptcy … just like it has Greece and most other EU member nations.

In case Morgan Freeman hasn’t noticed, Herman Cain is black … and a doing very well in Tea Party circles.  I guess he would call Allen West, Marco Rubio, Alan Keyes, Nikki Haley, Susana Martinez, James White, and Stefani Carter racist!

I really like Herman Cain’s comments on Morgan Freeman’s “the Tea Party is racist” statement:

“Well, first of all, I doubt if Morgan Freeman, with all due respect, who is a great actor, has ever been to a Tea Party,” Cain said. “Most of the people that are criticizing the Tea Parties … about having a racist element, they have never been to a Tea Party.”

Cain, whose campaign is doing very well after winning the Florida straw poll, was quick to say that he was not offended by the Freeman’s remarks:

“I just think that it is sad that they’re so short-sighted in really understanding what the whole Tea Party citizen movement is all about,” he continued. “I’m not offended by it, because it doesn’t slow down my momentum. It doesn’t slow down the reaction that I get from people.”

“So, name-calling is something that’s going to continue in this, because they don’t know how to stop this movement. And this movement is making a big difference in politics, because a lot of the traditional Democrats are moving to the center or moving over to vote for conservatives. They’re taking another look at a Herman Cain.”

What scares Obama’s campaign so much is that they do not know how to stop the Tea Party movement!  Normally, progressive-liberals would just buy them off.  That is how, as van Jones said, the communists bought the Democratic party.  In the past, they would  just pass some massive pork spending bill and slip the money out the back door to pay off the trouble makers … and the problem goes away.

This tactic will not work on the Tea Party because the Tea Party is made up of American heartland-type Americans, including Republicans and Democrats, Blacks, Whites, and Hispanics.  Tea Party members want to end just that kind of corrupt, Chicago-style, backroom deal making;  and to get back to ideas like being proud to be an American, having a balanced budget, fiscal responsibility the federal government level, and yes … individual responsibility.

Progressive-liberals simply do not understand that kind of thinking.  They kneel at the altar of big government and are petrified of the idea of Americans thinking for themselves and making decision without out their “guidance.”  They have no choice but to resort to scare tactics and name calling.  And … as November 2012 approaches it will get much worse!!

Despite what Morgan Freeman says, Obama’s re-election is a clear and present danger to this country’s future as the last standing bastion for individual freedom and liberty.  Racism does not enter into the equation. It is a sad commentary on how far this country has fallen from the greatness our ancestors fought and struggled for, but the sad truth is that if enough voters are more motivated by the selfish entitlement mentality fostered by progressive-liberal’s over the last several decades, than by what is truly best for America and the majority of patriotic Americans living here, he can be re-elected.  It is time for the silent majority to no longer be silent.  It is time for conservatives to go against the nature and stand up and be heard … loudly and forcefully.

American Jobs Act: Fact or Fiction?

President Barack Obama and Warren Buffett in t...

I listened to Obama’s American Jobs Act speech last night and I must confess; I was impressed.  It was very well written.  Whoever wrote it did a brilliant job.  It was well paced, full of catchy and patriotic slogans, and designed to appeal to the masses.  Unfortunately, it was also total BS!  It was the same old progressive liberal “song and dance” in new clothing … just like I predicted it would be.  Much of it sounds so good on the surface and shallow-thinkers will tout its fairness and praise Obama for his efforts.

The plan Obama laid out Thursday night in his speech would cost nearly $450 billion and would increase and extend a payroll tax cut for workers that goes to Social Security. It also provides a tax cut to employers. You can argue that some of this will help in the short-term, but most of Obama’s proposals actually stand very little chance of ever being implemented, at least without the backing of congressional Republicans.  And, that may not be very likely!

The truth is Obama is trying to set up a “win-win” scenario for his re-election campaign:

  • Win v.1: If Congress passes his plan, Obama will be seen as the hero who saved the day (at least until the problems in his plan become clear some time down the road).  I am sure he is betting this will happen after November 2012.
  • Win v.2: If congress does not pass his plan, he can point to them and say, “See, I tried to do something to save the day and the republicans would not work with me.  It is their fault.  And in this version, the problems with his plan never truly surface.

What are the problems with his Obama’s job plan you might ask.  There are plenty.  First, let’s examine a few of the claims he make in his speech:

Obama claim #1: Everything in this bill will be paid for.

The Facts: Nowhere did Obama say exactly how he would pay for the measures contained in his nearly $450 billion American Jobs Act.  All he said was that he would send his proposed specifics in a week to the new congressional super committee charged with finding budget savings. White House aides have suggested that the new short-term deficit spending to stimulate job creation would be paid for in the future but they did not say what would be cut or what revenues they would use. So in reality, Obama’s jobs plan is simply a “promissory note” from a president and lawmakers who will probably not be in office when the bills come due. Any future Congress could simply decide not to pay that bill. So there is no kind of guarantee his program (that clearly will increase annual deficits in the short-term) will ever be paid for in the long-term.

Obama claim #2: Everything in this proposal has been supported by both Democrats and Republicans, including many who sit here tonight.”

The facts: Obama’s proposed cut in the Social Security payroll tax would seem likely to receive significant Republican support. However, Obama proposes paying for the plan in part with tax increases that have already generated very strong Republican opposition.

Obama again proposes to end Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans (which he has defined as couples earning over $250,000 a year or people earning over $200,000 a year), saying that the wealthy need to pay “their fair share.”  This should come as no surprise to anyone since it has been the liberal’s standard modus operandi for decades.  In his speech, Obama even mentioned his good buddy, Warren Buffett, who according to this speech, asked Obama to remove a loop-hole that Buffett uses to avoid paying taxes so he can also “pay his fair share.”   So does Warren Buffett actually have to take advantage of the loop-hole?  Why is Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, involved in a legal battle with the IRS now to avoid paying $1 billion in back taxes … if Warren Buffett so truly wants to pay his fair share?  Who gets to decide what that “fair Share” is?  Progressive-liberal radicals? What a bunch of Bull Shit!

I am not wealthy!  I am not even upper middle class! But, even I can see the “wrong” in liberals wanting to “steal” the hard –earned money of successful people and “redistributing” it to their voters. When the government starts taking the property of its citizens in the name of some perceived and mutable notion of “fair,” then that government has just lost its right to exist!

But what are the facts surrounding the idea of the wealthy paying their fair share? The facts are that the wealthy already do pay their fair share! The top 5 percent of wage earners in this country (this includes all income, not just wages, but excludes Social Security) pay 53.25 % of all income taxes, the top 10 % pay 64.89 % of all taxes, the top 25 % pay 82.9 % of all taxes, the top 50 % pay 96.03 % of all taxes, and the top 1 percent is paying more than ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50 percent.

How about the bottom 50 percent of wage earners (which, by the way, includes me)? We pay 3.97 % of all income taxes. In addition, an estimated 43.4 percent of Americans do not even pay federal income tax. Shouldn’t Obama be asking for that 43.4 percent and the bottom 50 percent to pay their “fair share”?

This is why Tea Party members say no to new taxes and work to curb the government’s out-of-control spending; and why many Republicans have adamantly blocked what they view as new taxes without first making real and needed cuts in wasteful government spending. As recently as last month, House Republicans refused to go along with any deal to raise the government’s borrowing authority that included new revenues, or taxes.

Obama claim #3: The American Jobs Act will not add to the deficit.

The Facts: It simply not true that this program will not raise the deficit over the next year or two.  That is because most of Obama’s envisioned spending cuts and tax increases will have to come later on down the road out of fear that, if enacted now, they will jeopardize the fragile “recovery.”  Deficits are calculated over each year. The accumulation of years of deficit spending has produced a national debt headed toward $15 trillion. Maybe Obama simply meant to say that he hoped his programs would not further increase the national debt.

Obama claim #4: The American Jobs Act meets the urgent need to create jobs right away.

The Facts: Obama’s plan meets his need to make the government even bigger and more powerful. And, not all the president’s major proposals are likely to yield quick job growth if adopted. One such proposal is to set up a new national infrastructure bank to raise private capital for roads, rail, bridges, airports and waterways. Even supporters of such a bank doubt it could have much impact on jobs in the next two years because it takes time to set up. The idea will run into opposition from most conservatives because such a bank would simply give the federal government way too much power. It makes much more sense to divide money among already existing state infrastructure banks, but that is not in keeping with the socialist agenda … is it?

So how would you describe Obama’s speech?  I am not a big fan of Karl Rove, but I do like how he described Obama’s speech using 12 words in a recent article on FoxNews.com.  Here are just a few of them:

  • Presumptuous: According to Rove, during the speech Obama demanded no less than 17 times that Congress immediately pass a bill no one has seen.  I did not count, but I did hear that phrase used many times.
  • Mind-boggling: Obama wants to again steal hundreds of billions from Social Security for another stimulus. Wait a minute … isn’t that supposed to be what the liberal democrats accuse the Tea Party of wanting to do … destroy social security?
  • Arrogant: Obama refused to consult with anyone about his plan in advance?  Well, we all know he is pretty arrogant
  • Unnecessary: Yep!  Should have watched a football game or Jeopardy!
  • Completely political: What did you expect?
How about cutting back on some government waste, redundancy, and inefficiency to pay for some of your American Jobs Act programs.  Again just a few examples:
  • 342 economic development programs
  • 130 programs serving the disabled
  • 130 programs serving at-risk youth
  • 90 early childhood development programs
  • 75 programs funding international education, cultural, and training exchange activities
  • 72 federal programs dedicated to assuring safe water
  • 50 homeless assistance programs
  • 45 federal agencies conducting federal criminal investigations

Liberal Hypocrisy

President Barack Obama and Warren Buffett in t...

Remember when Warren Buffett stated it was up to the rich to pay more taxes and that the government should raise taxes on the “rich.”  Why then is Warren Buffett’s own company, Berkshire Hathaway, fighting tooth and nail to avoid paying their fair share?  It seems that Berkshire Hathaway was given a great opportunity to set the example for us all and pay more taxes.  Instead his company is bogged down in a protracted legal battle with the IRS to avoid paying an estimated $1 billion in back taxes his company now owes.  Just another example of how very generous liberals are … as long as it is with other people’s money!!

Obama is just so bi-partisan; and just oozes with the spirit of political cooperation and fair play … don’t you think?  Democratic strategist, James Carville, said Obama was way out-of-bounds when he scheduled his presidential address at the same time as the already scheduled Republican presidential debate. Carville stated that, given a choice between watching a debate and the speech, I would have watched the debate and I’m not even a Republican or even close to being a Republican!”  Gotta love El Rushbo!  In response to White House Press Secretary Carney’s glib denial of any partisan intent, Rush asked: “How much are you paid to lie to the American people, Jay?”

Maxine Waters strikes again.  She wants Obama to use extortion to force banks to modify loans.  It seems it is now up to the federal government to make sure people can afford their mortgages.  If the “gangster” banks don’t do what she wants … Waters wants the government to “tax them out of business.”   This is just further proof of the fact that liberal progressives consider taxation to be a means of punishing those they dislike as much as a way to fund the government. I do wonder if this policy applies to her husband’s bank as well?

Poor Obama is just so frustrated that Congress won’t “focus” on doing their jobs whining that, “It’s been a long time since Congress was focused on what the American people need them to be focused on.”   Well, Mr. Obama … did you not just get back from vacation, a bus tour, and non-stop fund-raisers?  What about the 80 rounds of golf this year?  Isn’t this kind of like the “pot calling the kettle black?”  Oops … I guess now I am being racist!

By the way, Mr.  Obama, the Keystone XL pipeline would bring North American oil (from Canada, the Dakotas, and Montana) to oil refineries on the Gulf Coast here in the U.S.  This would create more American jobs, mean lower energy costs (including lower prices at the pump), and develop a more secure energy supply.  Approving the Keystone XL Pipeline would:

  •  Provide relief to Americans struggling with the high costs of energy
  • Supply Americans with abundant North American energy and help lower overseas imports
  • Create tens of thousands of American jobs throughout the United States
  • Add billions in revenue to the federal government at a time of ballooning federal deficits

So what do you say Mr. Obama, how about doing something that can really simulate the American economy?  Will your administration do some real good … and approve the Keystone XL pipeline?  Time will tell ….
